Program Overview

The Master of Arts in Counseling is a two-year program to equip students with a rich integrated, theoretical and vocational knowledge of theology and psychology along with practical skills and tools. This program will prepare students for possible work in advanced levels of pastoral or ministry-related counseling, crisis pregnancy centers, family case management, residential treatment facilities, or other counseling positions which do not require professional licensure. The conclusion of the program offers students the option to write a thesis or to complete their studies with more electives.

Admission Requirements

The criteria for entrance to the Master of Arts in Counseling degree are:
1. Completion of Application Form for Admission.
2. Three letters of recommendation from faculty, employers, or church leaders.
3. Possession of or candidacy for an accredited Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.
4. A statement of the applicant’s Christian faith.
5. One recent photograph.
6. An official transcript from the student's college or university.
7. A personal interview with a representative of the university.
